The Changes
Straight from Chicago comes a magnificent rock band called The Changes! I'm not sure where to start with them. I met them when going to the Spinto Band concert and I fell in love with them ever since. The vocalist has a soothing voice (not screaming or yelling at the top of his lungs) while playing the guitar, the keyboardist is quick with his fingers stirring up a beat, the bass has a low mellow rhythm, and I liked the drummer the most. People say the guitarist is the best, but I think the drummer is praiseworthy. Why? He was quick, upbeat, not to mention outgoing and handsome. Haha! I recommend you to check them out. They're still somewhat indie, but I promise you that they'll become popular in years to come.

Bobby Darin
Ahhh acapella! Oh, how I love Bobby Darin! One of the famous performers from the late '50s through the '60s, and he will always be famous to me. Unlike the music today, he has a sing and swing rhythm. Darin can also be comparable to Frank Sinatra with his hits 'Splish Splash' and 'Mack the Knife.' You can't listen to his songs on the radio anymore, only on commercials for cruises because of his single 'Beyond the Sea.' If you're open to understanding where music came from and how it all started, by all means listen to Bobby Darin! In the future, I will show you more famous, inspirational singers, but for now, let's enjoy Bobby Darin.
TLC
TOTAL 90'S! Do you remember the neon clothing, the "futuristic" style, and fishnets? Oh yes I do! My blog is not just about the unheard, but the forgotten. I enjoy being nostalgic and reminiscing of the childhood past. Of course, I didn't understand what a scrub was back then, but now I do--a total moocher...right? Hahah. They were one the best female group selling around 22 million copies of their albums. Unfortunately, they aren't making any music now, they haven't for a while. Why you might ask? Well, let's recall the disputes of Left Eye's trouble of the law and her death. But there are rumors the other band members are coming back in a year or two. Let's hope!
Spinto Band
Must I tell you about Spinto Band? They are....ZE BEST! A year or two ago, I found them through a comic strip website I usually read. Apparently the creator of the website is friends with Spinto Band. So, I bought their cd thinking, 'Okay, this better not be crap.' and...it wasn't! I was so captivated! It was weird because they used a banjo and a kazoo (such strange instruments) yet it all went well! Thus, they played at San Francisco, and I was one of the first people to be in line for the concert. I was able to talk to the guitarist, get his pick, meet new people, and have a blast! That was one of my favorite concerts and it was all because of my love for Spinto Band! If you want to hear and learn more of Spinto Band's debut, read more of Daytrotter's session with the band. OH and YESSS, they are finally returning to San Francisco on November 1st and 2nd at the Bottom of The Hill with a new album, The Moonwink! You must go!
Bishop Allen
Another all-time favorite and band name that starts with the letter 'B' is Bishop Allen! Their upbeat drumming and soothing vocalist will absolutely lure you in. You guys may notice their music from the upcoming movie Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist with their song Middle Management, but I've listened to their songs for years now. YES! They're finally getting noticed! GO GO BISHOP ALLEN! Oh, not to mention, they are coming to San Francisco soon, November 12 @ the Independent. Be there or be square!
Here's a Bishop Allen music video for you to see how great they are. Not only are they talented, but innovative! They're conveying their song/band in multiple photos, making it into a video in a music video.
